The Year at a Glance Page: A How-To Guide
Year at a Glance is a printable, one-page poster of your whole school year. It gathers what you have already entered around the app, your dates, goals, weekly rhythm, curriculum, breaks, and monthly read-alouds, and lays it out as a keepsake you can pin up or save as a PDF.
This guide explains what it shows and how to print it.
Opening the page
From your Dashboard, click the Year at a Glance link (a printable one-page overview of your year). The page opens as a finished poster titled with your school year and family name.
At the top are two buttons, which do not appear on the printout:
- ← Back to dashboard returns you to the Dashboard.
- Save as PDF opens your browser's print dialog so you can print the poster or save it as a PDF.
What the poster shows
Everything on the poster is pulled from the rest of the app, so it stays current as you update those pages. Each panel has a note telling you where to add its information when it is empty.
| Panel | What it shows | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| School Year Dates | Your start date, projected end date, and goals for the year. | Family page and your calendar. |
| Our Goals | Your Family Focus goals, with achieved ones marked. | School Year Goals page. |
| Our Weekly Schedule | The subjects that meet on each weekday. It shows the plain subject (for example, "Math"), not the full curriculum name, and lists each subject once per day. | Scheduled lessons on the Calendar / Curriculum & Lessons. |
| Our Curriculum | Each subject with how often it meets. | Your scheduled curriculum. |
| Planned Breaks | Your breaks and vacations, with their dates. | Breaks & holidays on the Calendar page. |
| Monthly Read Alouds | Your book for each month. | Monthly Read Alouds page. |
Tip: If a panel looks empty, use the page it names to add that information, then come back and the poster fills in automatically.
Printing or saving as a PDF
- Click Save as PDF at the top of the page.
- Your browser's print dialog opens. Choose your printer to print on paper, or choose "Save as PDF" as the destination to keep a copy.
The poster is designed to print on the light Chalk and Chart palette no matter which app theme you use, and the two toolbar buttons are left off the printed page.
