The Standardized Testing Log: A How-To Guide

The Standardized Testing Log is where you record each student's standardized test results (title, date, score, notes, and an optional photo of the report) so they live alongside the rest of your records and can be included in your Portfolio.

The Standardized Testing Log page

It is an optional page you turn on yourself, and it is included on every plan.

Opening the Standardized Testing Log

  1. Go to Settings, and in the Optional pages section tick Standardized Testing Log, then click Save.
  2. The page now appears in the left menu (or under More in the bottom bar on a phone) as Standardized Testing Log. Click it to open.

The page at a glance

Each student has their own tab, so you record and view results one student at a time. Use the tabs to switch students; the Print and Add Testing buttons sit on the right.

The student tabs and buttons

If a student has no results yet, you will see a short "No test results recorded yet for [student name]." message until you add one.

Recording a test result

  1. Select the student's tab, then click Add Testing. If you have not added any students yet, clicking Add Testing shows the message "Add a student on the Family page first." instead of opening the form, so add a student on the Family page first.

  2. Fill in the form:

    Add a test result

    Field What it does
Student Which student this result belongs to (defaults to the tab you are on).
Testing title The name of the test, for example "Iowa Assessments" (required).
Test date The date the test was taken.
Test grade / result The score or result in whatever form your test uses, for example "85th percentile" or "Grade level 5.2".
Note Any extra detail you want to keep.
Photo Optionally attach a photo or scan of the score report.
  3. Click Save. The result appears in the list for that student.

A recorded result

Each entry shows the title, the result as a badge, the date, your note, and the photo if you added one. The date is shown as the stored calendar value (for example, "2026-05-14"), not a long-form date. Use the Edit and Delete buttons on the right of each entry.
